Milan, thank you for everything!

Milan had two more years of his contract with Zvezda, and very quickly an agreement was reached between the club and the great goalkeeper. Namely, Milan will waive the last year of the contract, while Zvezda will take it upon themselves to pay him the next year, which makes him free to choose a new environment.

Milan, as in the last seven years, put the interest of Red Star before his personal interest and once again proved his great love for the club where he achieved great success.

From the first day when he arrived at Crvena zvezda, now long ago in 2017, Milan Borjan approached all his obligations with great commitment. He was a leader on and off the field, a participant in our team's greatest successes in the 21st century. From season to season, he delighted the fans with spectacular defenses, which will be remembered forever. Together with his teammates, he put Red Star back on the European football map and represented an insurmountable obstacle for all teams. Zvezda's Octopus is a nickname given to him by Zvezda fans, and it has been heard countless times - "Brani Borjan". Matches against Krasnodar, Salzburg, Copenhagen, Young Boys, Braga are just a few in which the experienced goalkeeper excelled, and there were many. Milan Borjan cheered up the fans of our club at every step, became the favorite player of the little ones and awakened the most sincere emotions among a large number of lovers of red and white colors, but he also wrote himself into the history of our club in golden letters.

He stood in the Red Star goal in 309 games, opposing players managed to beat him in 213 situations, while Zvezda kept a goal in 156 matches. He is one of the most decorated players of our club with nine awards won. He lifted six national championship cups, and in addition won three Serbian Cups, along with three double crowns. He is a participant in six group stages of European competitions, including two Champions Leagues and four Europa Leagues.
