The youngsters of Crvena zvezda started this duel very well, considering that they had the first real opportunity already in the opening minutes. In the seventh minute of the match, Krivokapić reacted brilliantly to a weaker pass from Živanović, then played past Jovan Mijatović, who cleverly shot the far corner, but the ball went just past the left post of Stevanović's goal. After only 60 seconds after Mijatović's return ball, Radonjić sent a shot from the edge of the penalty area, however, the smart goalkeeper Rada deflected the ball into the corner. Crvena zvezda's attacks became more frequent, and we saw a more concrete incident in the home team's penalty area in the 32nd minute, when Zvezda's 10 - Mateja Radonjić shot with his right foot, and again the goalkeeper of "Građevinar" reflexively saved this shot as well. Rad capitulated in the 41st minute, a sharp cross from the right side was sent by Boris Matić, who with surgical precision found Jovan Mijatović, who bowed while jumping and shook the net with his head.

In the second half, the red and white kept the advantage and calmly built the game through possession. Chances were not missing after Zoran Rendulić's selection was combined. We saw the first big excitement in the 64th minute, when the strong Pirgić broke through on the left flank, and then found the substitute Bošković at the second post. However, the talented technician was stopped by Rada's defender when he shot from the penalty area. We saw the greatest excitement during the lob shot by today's cheerful Pirgić, in the 71st minute, when he noticed Stevanović running from the goal line. He managed to move the entire defensive team from Banjica, but the crossbar proved to be an obstacle for our club to increase to 0:2. The question of the winner was removed by Ignjat Brajić, a guy who entered the field from the bench, at the very end of the game. Ivan Nikčević made a great jump past the stopper tandem of Rad and headed Brajić into a one-on-one situation, and Brajić routinely hit the near corner, setting the final score.
