A large number of reinforcements arrived at Red Star during the summer, all with the aim of making our club even stronger, faster, younger and more efficient in the coming season, and there is no doubt that all the acquisitions have been shown in a certain light that can satisfy the star players. Apart from the footballers, the coach also arrived, whom we call General Barak Bahar based on his discipline, and the impression based on the first four games in the Super League is that he has the most confidence in Marko Stamenić.
It sounds incredible, but in the first four rounds of the Super League, only two Red Star players played the full 360 minutes. One of them is Omri Glazer, but since coaches rarely change goalkeepers, this information is not a surprise, given that the Israeli national team player has established himself as extremely reliable. The other is Marko Stamenić, a guy who came to our club through the "small" door, when we announced back in February of this year that the New Zealand national team player with Serbian roots would pledge his loyalty to Red Star during the summer and that - for free.
What gives additional meaning to this fact is that Stamenić is a "bonus" player, but that is why he is not constantly on the field, considering that another footballer born in 2002 - Stefan Mitrović - has cemented himself in the first 11, so we are free to come to the conclusion that the player who respects Bahar's greatest trust is precisely the tall midfielder.
Nevertheless, Stamenić and Dragović had a "fierce fight" over minutes, however, in yesterday's match at the very end, our captain gave way to the young Šljivić. With that, Dragović remained at 348 minutes played in the first four rounds.
