Crvena zvezda extended the contract with the young Serbian national team player - Nikola Knežević for another four years. The talented offensive player joined Barak Bahar's training and borrowed the jersey number 41.
- It is a great honor to extend the contract with Red Star, the club where I grew up. I'm really happy to be here, and I want to establish myself in the first team as soon as possible and get a chance to make my debut and then have as many good games as possible. The atmosphere is great, we hang out, we respect each other, and I think that can be seen on the field as well, given that Zvezda is playing great. All my dreams are related to Zvezda, but I'm going step by step. I spent the previous six months in Napredek, I believe that I am more mature than I was and more ready for the challenges that Zvezda's first team brings. Positive nervousness is present, but I'm used to all that and I know how to deal with pressure - said Knežević.
Nikola Knežević was born on March 10, 2003 in Zemun and passed through the younger categories of Crvena Zvezda in the best possible way, considering that he won the title of the Youth League of Serbia by scoring 21 goals. Knežević then played in Grafičar, where he played 50 games and scored 11 goals, and then in Napredek, where he played in 16 games. He went through all the junior categories of the Serbian national team, and he does his best in the position of an offensive midfielder.
