Cadets agree: Let's repeat the historic season

- Expectations are the same as every season so far. We are going for the title, to develop as many of them as possible to reach the first team, to be ready for greater demands. We couldn't wait to get together, we had time to rest, but also to prepare the preparatory period, as well as the team itself - began Ostojić.

A lot of famous faces, considering that last season, along with the generation of 2007, there were also footballers from the younger generation.

- It means a lot when you have a couple of moves that have already been through something with you. They are expected to be the team's leaders this season. It is quite important for the training process, the team, but also for us coaches that we have some bond between the players and us and that they know what we are asking of them.

He revealed to us the assistant coach and the plan until the very beginning of the championship.

- On July 21, we are going to Vrnjačka Banja, where we will play three games. Before departure we have one match here and at the very end two games before the start of the championship.

Crvena zvezda had as many as ten footballers at the previous U17 European Championship, and the coaching staff hopes that they will be able to repeat or surpass their performance this season.

- It certainly means a lot to us, because a lot of players were from our selection. We consider it an additional satisfaction to continue working even better and more, so that each next one will be even better than this one - concluded Ostojić.

One of the players from the generation of 2008 is Aleksa Damjanović, who was also a member of the Serbian cadet champion last season.

- Last season I was in this selection, now I'm here again. The goal of course remains the same, which is to win the title. It means a lot to me that I already played the previous season, I gained experience and I hope that we will repeat the success from last year - Damjanović said.

In the season behind us, he was the best scorer, played at the European Championship, and now he is among the team's main players.

- I had a very good year behind me, I was the best scorer, even though I was the youngest in the team at that moment. I've been through and done a lot of nice things, the European Championship, which is really a great experience for me, and I expect nothing less from this season. I will do my best, as I have always done, and I believe that it will be even better than the last one.

He believes in another title in a row.

- I am sure that we will give everything both on and off the field to repeat the success, and if we succeed, I hope that we will repeat last season and win another title - underlined Damjanović.
