FC Crvena zvezda continues its activities when it comes to the transfer window, and today at the stadium "Rajko Mitić" - Jung Woo Seol signed a contract for three plus one years with our club. We are talking about the South Korean representative who covers the position of left back and who borrowed the number 66, while the "six" belongs to In Bom Hwang.
Our sports director Mitar Mrkela was the first to welcome Seola to the red and white camp.
- We signed Seol, a soccer player who comes from Ulsan and has extensive experience playing in the Asian Champions League, as well as the South Korean national team. He plays in the position of left back, which is a deficit position and we were looking for a player with his characteristics. We wanted him in Zimus as well, but now the transfer has come true and we are very pleased to present him as a Zvezda player. There will be enough time to get used to it, he will travel to Russia for preparations, and there he will have the opportunity to get acquainted with Vladan Milojević's requirements, as well as with his new teammates and the mentality of the club. Our expectations are always very high, we strive for the highest goals and that is why we prepare for these challenges in the most serious way, we bring in new players and we want to be stronger than in the previous season. Hwang, who is also from South Korea, played an excellent season and set an example of a disciplined and dedicated player who works for the team, but also has individual quality. Players who are from Korea have such characteristics and that is also one of the reasons why we brought Seol - said Mrkela.
Full of impressions after signing the contract with our club, Seol showed that he is well versed in Zvezda's history.
- This is my first transfer in my career and I am happy that I came to Crvena zvezda. I am aware that we have a good team with many great players, I want to prove myself and my goal is to help the team, both in defense and in attack. I am aware that my priority is defense, so I will protect the backs of our offensive players. I know a lot about the club, my good friend is In Bom Hwang and we already talked about Zvezda, the history and the culture that is here. He told me all the best about Zvezda and Serbia and I am very excited to be here. I also know that Zvezda has fantastic fans, so I can't wait to play in front of them and get to know each other. Also, I know that Zvezda won the Champions League in 1991, which is a big deal. As for me, I want to win the double crown with the club, but also to play in the Champions League - emphasized Seol.
Jung Woo Seol was born on December 5, 1998 in Ulsan and is a standard representative of South Korea. He covers both back positions equally well, and he has spent his entire professional career so far only in Ulsan, for which he played 156 games and scored eight goals. He was named the best young player of the league in 2021, a year later he was part of the team that won the Asian Games, and then found himself in the ideal team of the championship of South Korea.
