Jovanović: I can't wait for the games at the Maracana

- I joined the team in Zlatibor and I can say that the preparations are extremely hard. However, I didn't expect it to be any different. The players accepted me well, as I said, I know many of them from before, both younger and older. I quickly fit into the team - said Lazar Jovanović.

The talented footballer also spoke about his teammates.

- The support of older players means a lot to me, especially when idols like Katai and Mirko Ivanić come to me and give me advice.

Although the preparations are tiring, Jovanović pointed out that he enjoys every moment.

- This is my third preparation, when it comes to senior football. I did the first one when I was just 17 years old, but I have to point out that it is much more difficult in Crvena Zvezda. That's my feeling, I think there is more training, work, more running and working on fitness. I also have to point out that I came prepared to prepare, so it's not a big problem for me. I am already familiar with working on tactics, but each new team and coach brings different requirements, I try to adapt as quickly and as well as possible.

The winger also reflected on the match against Sochi.

- I think we played well, we were better, and we also had control over the opponent. Regarding the goal, Šljivić did well on the right side, he sent a cross, and I felt that the ball was going to reach me, I found myself in a good position and scored a goal. Every goal and victory brings a lot of confidence to me personally, as well as to the team, which I'm sure will help us in the rest of the season.

Lazar Jovanović receives the greatest support from his family.

- Family of course, dad, brothers and mother. My father was also a football player, he often advises me and that really means a lot to me. I try to always listen to him, everything he tells me, he tells me with good intentions.

The preparations are coming to an end, and the young footballer points out that he is looking forward to the matches at the Maracana.

- I can't wait for the games at Maracana, I already played at Zvezda Stadium once, it was an indescribable feeling when I saw so many fans. The atmosphere is always incredible - concluded Jovanović.
