Jelić: We will have something to show in Europe

- A great success was achieved by placing in the Champions League. Congratulations to Vladan Milojević, who managed to assemble a very good team in a short period of time. The edition of Red Star in the second match is a model of how we will look in some future games and seasons. Not everything is so dark in Serbian football. Crvena zvezda is an indicator that football in Serbia has bright spots. As a club, we constantly bring points to Serbian football and promote it. What is also important for our club is that by placing our first team, the youth team earned the right to play in the Youth Champions League, which will again be an incredible experience for our young guys. I am very glad that for the first time since we have been playing in the group stage, we will meet the Spanish and Portuguese teams. We have met Italian, French and German teams so far. We will have something to show in Europe. It is very important for us to use players who are not in the foreground with Vladan Milojević in the Youth Champions League, as well as some players who are dually registered in Grafičar, such as Maksimović and Milosavljević. I want to emphasize that it is very important for us in the academy that Ognjen Mimović was a very important participant in this great success with a goal in Norway, and then with a phenomenal game at the Maracana, he showed that the young guys from the academy can be counted on. I am sure that in the future there will be many more guys who will directly participate in some great successes of our club - said Nikola Jelić. 

The director of the academy announced the youth derby, which will be played tomorrow at 11 a.m. on the fields behind the south of the Maracana. 

- It is the beginning of the season, the teams are still in the formation phase. As for the youth team, we lost to Čukaricki, although we didn't play a weak game, we simply couldn't physically match the opponent, given that every year in the autumn part, we have a problem with a newly formed team that only gets the physiognomy it should look like in the spring. I expect a good and quality match, with full stands and fair and sporting competition. I believe that we are better and that we will win. 

Apart from the youth team, the cadet selection of our club will meet with the eternal rival tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. on the home field. 

- When it comes to the cadet selection, even though we don't have a defeat, I think we have to do a lot better. This was also affected by the injuries of some key players, who did not play in the previous few rounds, such as Štulić, Petrović, Šarić, Popović, Ivanović. We play without six or seven players who are standard. The cadets can definitely do much better and if they raise their level compared to the match against Čukaricki, I am sure that we will be a better opponent in that match. First of all, I expect full stands and good football and I hope for the victories of Crvena zvezda - concluded Nikola Jelić.
