Jelić: A challenging season awaits us with the Champions League

- In the senior team of Graficar, we had an incredible season, and we were by far the youngest team in the First League of Serbia. I think that in the history of the association, there was no team that performed with younger players in this rank. I would like to point out the excellent work of Marko Neđić, as well as the entire professional staff, and then the exceptional cooperation with club president Solobodan Govedarica and all employees in the first team of Graficar. Our development team contributed to the accelerated development of players in the first part of the season. For example, after excellent games at the beginning of the competition year, Jovan Mijatović was reassigned to the first team of Crvena zvezda, and this summer, in addition to Kosta Nedeljković, several other individuals will surely strengthen the senior team of our club. Many players were sent to the Super League of Serbia, so we can summarize that the excellent season of the senior team of Grafičar is behind us - began Jelić.

In addition to the first team of Graficari, thorough work in the youth and cadet selection of Crvena zvezda led to the rapid development of young players, and Jelić points out the great potential of the red and white cadets.

- On the other hand, we had an excellent development season for the youth and cadet selection of Red Star. Special emphasis goes to our cadets, players born in 2006 and 2007. In addition to daily appearances in the Zvezda jersey, the players regularly responded to their obligations within the Serbian national team. At the moment, our club has the most national team players in the younger categories, so first in the qualifiers and later at the European Championship in Hungary for players up to 17 years old, we had the largest number of representatives. The perfect and detailed work of coach Slađan Nikolić came to the fore and I apostrophize again, a great developmental competitive year is behind us. However, when Red Star does not win the title, you cannot be fully satisfied. We will try to "fix" the success next season, but the primary goal has been fulfilled. The youth team had a turbulent season. The team has been completely changed from the competitive season 21/22, and there were also many changes during the year itself. Kosta Nedeljković and Aleksej Vukičević were reassigned to the senior team of Graficari, and we can be satisfied again because we are producing players for the first team of Crvena zvezda.

Looking at the successes of the other younger categories, as well as the development of young talents, has led to great satisfaction for our Youth School.

- In the selection of younger cadets and pioneers of Red Star, we played excellently and very dominantly reached the title. In the team of younger cadets of our club, we performed without nine players from the start, who were part of the cadet selection. In perspective, they proved that there will certainly be footballers who will reach the first team of Zvezda. I congratulate the head of the coaching staff, Milorad Vilotić, for his excellent work, as well as all the coaches. The pioneers played a large number of games in the championship, as well as in the national team. We won the Serbian championship in the pioneer category, however, I must point out that we are not satisfied with the performance in the final tournament. It's just that the boys haven't had any competition in the last few years, so we have to find a solution to get out of the comfort zone. Coach Milan Milenković deserves congratulations, as does Marko Petrović, who led the boys born in 2008 in the first part of the championship. Other selections, as well as basic categories, finished the season at a high level. As representatives of our football academy led by director Dragan Mladenović, we can be satisfied in many segments.

The head coach of the Crvena Zvezda Youth School has announced an exciting transfer window, as well as the changes that await our football academy.

- The transition period for us is almost over, all that remains is to realize everything from July 1, when the transfer period officially starts. The biggest changes await the younger selections and base categories, because we will hire the most talented players from the region, who he can offer the best at this moment. We are very happy with the arrival of Nenad Milijaš, who will raise the rating of our Youth School and work to a higher level. We are grateful to the club's management for their support led by Red Star general manager Zvezdan Terzić, club president Svetozar Mijailović, sports director Mitro Mrkela and technical director Marko Marin. Day by day, the Youth School of FC Crvena zvezda will look better and better. Our goal next season is to train young players for the first team in the shortest possible time. A challenging competitive year awaits us due to participation in the group stage of the Champions League. We will try to raise individual work, as well as many segments within our academy, to a higher level. I hope that the season ahead of us and in the competitive part will be more successful than the previous one - concluded Jelić.
