Behind the south Maracana - Zvezda's camp in Belgrade pushes the boundaries

It is known that our Youth School organizes camps all over the world, and this year in Belgrade, due to great interest, this program will take place in two shifts. In the first shift, which started on Monday and will last until June 30, 87 boys and one girl signed up, and they will work under the command of experts from our academy according to a special program, which includes two training sessions a day and rich accompanying content. The next shift will last from July 3 to 7.

At the very opening of the camp on June 26, the coach of the base selections of the Crvena zvezda Youth School, Vladimir Cvjetićanin, spoke about the camp itself and the opportunities that the children have to achieve there.

- The first shift of the camp in Belgrade in 2023 consists of 90 children from seven to 15 years old. The limited number for this year was 80, considering the coaches, fields and other circumstances, but due to the great interest and desire of the children to perform at the camp, we increased the number to 90. I hope they will enjoy all five days. The first day was filled with the distribution of equipment, getting to know the stadium, motor testing and training, so that day we got to know the children, because they came from all over the world to impose themselves on Red Star. We have a lot of them from Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, other countries from the region, but also overseas countries - America and Canada, and the largest number comes from the Republic of Serbia, of course. I hope that they will learn something new from our coaches, but also enjoy all the activities that we have prepared for them, and our wish is to select the most talented ones, as every year, who will wear the red and white jersey and defend it at the Zvezde Youth School. We noticed a great desire among the little ones already on the first day to train and prove themselves, which was also the case last year, but that is never enough - Vladimir Cvjetićanin said.

One of the coaches at the Zvezda camp called "Make your dreams come true" is Milan Milenković, who leads the Red Star pioneers with whom he won the title of champion of Belgrade and Serbia.

- The camp is going great, in a great atmosphere, great energy and great work. I have to praise all the boys who came with the intention to prove themselves and get closer to Red Star in every sense. We have a large number of boys from abroad, who have fit into the system and socializing in the right way. In the first shift of the camp, there are 90 players who are divided into five groups from 2007 to 2015. However huge the number of players is at the camp, we are well organized so far and the work is excellent, and they deserve the most credit for that, because the behavior is really at a high level. Together with them, we will try to get the best out of each player, or boy, in these five days. If we succeed in this together, I have no doubt that one of them will be on a list or at a training session of the Crvena zvezda selection - Milan Milenković concluded.
