Beyond the south of the Maracana - Development and progress of younger pioneers

- The past season certainly fulfilled expectations in almost every sense, the outlined plans that we set at the beginning of the League of Young Pioneers through development, supplementary selection and competition. As we have already mentioned, we worked on every aspect in a planned way, and slowly prepared the addition of the selection for the pioneer league - started Milan Savković.

He touched on one of the coaches with the longest tenure at the Crvena Zvezda Youth School and the unfortunate end of the season.

- As is well known, player development in Zvezda is above all else. The general assessment of all the people who followed us in the past six months is that we played the most dominant football, where the average in each game was five or more goals. We lacked a bit of sporting luck for first place.

That Zvezda is a big club and that the work in the Youth School follows the first team is evidenced by the fact that our younger categories play a large number of international tournaments and compete with their peers from big clubs across Europe. It was Milan Savković who announced the plan for the next season and why the preparations started so early.

- We started the preparations on July 10 for several reasons, primarily because of the international tournament in Bulgaria, but also to better adapt the players and newcomers to the challenges that await us in the coming period. Preparations are planned in Banja Luka for the period from July 31 to August 6, and seven days later a new international tournament awaits us in Moscow, after which the pioneer league will also start.

The talented expert also touched on the changes in the playing staff, because now his team is stronger with four new players, which will be good for competition, which is always needed at Red Star.

- As for the staff, as we said, we planned scouting and in the end brought four new players, so the competition within the team is healthy. At the moment, we have two, and sometimes three players in each position, and it is up to them to impose themselves as best as possible during this period - concluded Milan Savković.
