In the third round of the Youth Champions League, Red Star hosted the Monaco team in Monte Carlo, and after a great game and a great fight, the result was 1:1. One of the most deserving of our team's point was the fifteen-year-old goalkeeper - Savo Radanović, who, in his debut match, was one of the best footballers on the field. Although the young goalkeeper was the youngest player in both teams, he recorded several key interventions that contributed to the positive result of Crvena zvezda.
Savo Radanović was born in 2009, and in the current part of the season he defended for the cadet selection led by Aleksandar Linta from the bench. Due to the invitation of the standard goalkeeper of the youth team - Vuk Draškić, to perform for the senior team, fifteen-year-old Radanović was reassigned to the team of Nenad Milijaš. He got the opportunity on the big stage, in the Youth Champions League game, and he used the chance to the full, and showed that he is a real pledge for the future of Red Star.
- I fit in perfectly with the team, the guys accepted me very well, among other things, I knew most of them from before, so it wasn't difficult for me to get used to it in a short period of time. We have known each other for a long time because we trained together in the previous period, so this transition from cadets to youth players somehow came naturally to me. Coach Milijaš wisely advised me to enjoy the game and not to burden myself with any thoughts, and therefore everything will be fine. He was right, in the end the game was great, both for me and for the whole team, and we were rewarded with a point for an excellent game. I was sure of myself from the beginning of the match, each new intervention gave me additional confidence, which was at a very high level. Now I need to continue training even harder and better, and I hope that I will continue to provide good games for our team - concluded the young goalkeeper.
