The cadets of Crvena zvezda traveled to Novalja during the representative break, where they participated in a football tournament. In the competition of strong clubs from the region, the pearls of our Youth School once again showed that they have talent and quality, and won the best award at this tournament.
The cadet selection of our club participated in the fourth "Olea Cup" in a row, and they competed in the competition of the following clubs: Dinamo Zagreb, Istra, Mavlon, Dunajska Streda, Rijeka, Osijek and Đer.
Aleksandar Linta's chosen ones got Osijek, Đer and Rijeka as their opponents after the draw. The Red and Whites routinely qualified for the next stage of the competition, initially beating Osijek with a score of 4:1, and then the Hungarian representative with a minimal score. Those two victories were enough for direct placement and the match for first place, that is - the grand final. In the final, the opponent of our cadets was the team of Istria, which the red and whites defeated with 1:0, and the scorer of the decisive goal was Nemanja Jevđić.

The assistant coach of our cadets - Filip Ostojić - is also satisfied with the results shown at the tournament in Novalja.
- The organization of the tournament itself was really at a high level once again. The competition was great, all the teams were good, and they responded in large numbers. We are satisfied with how we performed and we succeeded in what we wanted, which is to demonstrate our game, that is, the way Red Star should play. Every year, the people who organize this tournament improve the conditions, so we hope that we will participate again next year and show even higher quality - began Ostojić.
Ostojić pointed out that the team is improving day by day.
- We showed what we have been doing, from training to training we improve as a team, and we are getting better. Of course, it still needs a certain amount of time, and some period to pass under the command of the new head of the profession, so that everything looks the way we all want it. We are satisfied with how the team is developing and how the boys are progressing. We continue the season, we go game by game, we have a match against Teleoptik on the weekend, and we have to continue training hard and diligently, as we have done so far - underscored the assistant head of the profession - Filip Ostojić.
