Ivanić: The fans are preparing a spectacle, it's up to us to be the right one

- Whether the team is in shape is more a question for the coaching staff. For my part, I believe that we work hard in training, we prepare hard, we approach all obligations responsibly. That is what we will work on and what we have paid attention to. We are definitely ready for tomorrow's game, that's what we wanted during the whole summer and we prepared hard through friendly matches. I can't wait for the match to start - started Ivanić.

The football player born in 1993 recalled the duel that Red Star played against Young Boys at Markana within the playoffs for the Champions League in the 2019/20 season.

- I remember the match from 2019 as one of the more stressful ones, because I was on the bench then. Observing from that angle is totally different than when you are on the field. You watch the match from the sidelines, you feel the charge of the fans, the pressure of the result since it was such a match for direct passage to the group stage of the Champions League. Tomorrow we have the opportunity to take part in the spectacle, which our fans will surely put on. We feel a lot of support already, the whole team can't wait for the duel to start and to show why we deserve to be in the Champions League.

The former player of Bata Borisov believes that with the support of the fans, our club can achieve a new positive result against the Swiss representative.

- I could not compare the Young Boys team from 2019 and now. Our team is not the same either, so it will be a completely different game. You can never know at what moment and how the match will unfold. I am sure that we are ready for the game, and that with the huge support of the fans we can achieve a victory that can turn our season in a totally different direction. Also, the triumph can give us a "wind at our back" for the championship and for the further fight in the group stage of the Champions League.

The quick-footed technician was pleased with the message of the hero of the match from 2019 - Aleksa Vukanović, who wished Ivanić to score a goal in the match against Young Boys.

- That was my first season, now I hope that I am more "dangerous" for the opponent. Aleksa Vukanović is a great friend of mine and I am very glad that he scored the goal to enter the Champions League. I hope his words will have an impact and help me decide the game tomorrow. The most important thing is for us to be at a high level as a team, and the team is always kicked out by an individual. Four years ago it was Aleksa, tomorrow it will be someone else and let us rejoice together at the end - concluded Ivanić.
