IN MEMORIAM - Božidar Cerović (1947 - 2018)

Božidar Cerović arrived at our club as a young man with the current president Svetozar Mijailović. In 1987, he was elected president of the Executive Board. He participated in the creation of the famous five-year plan, and in that way he was one of the actors of the biggest sports success of Crvena zvezda, when our team climbed to the top of Europe and the world in 1991.

In the last years of his life, he held the position of vice-president of the Board of Directors, and the last success he experienced with Zvezda was placement in the Europa League, while only a year later he was at the club when the young club secured the long-awaited participation in the Champions League.

Zvezdasi and Maracana will never forget him, and all the fans, as well as the club itself, owe him eternal gratitude for his exceptional contribution. Božidar Cerović passed on his love for Crvena Zvezda to the students, and he forever wove his name into the history of Crvena Zvezda, so we can proudly say that his memory lives on even today.
