Ilić: I can't wait to see our fans again

- I think I mentioned before that I am overjoyed to be back, I feel fantastic and I try to enjoy every day as much as possible. I haven't been there for six or seven years and I can freely say that I couldn't wait to wear Zvezda's jersey again - Ilić pointed out.

Although he has not played for the red and whites for a certain number of years, Ilić points out that he has followed the club he has been a fan of since he was a child.

- I followed as much as I could, since I also had my obligations during that period, so whenever I was free, I was always in front of the TV and watching the matches. Also, I heard from the players of that time. I think a lot has changed and I only hope it will be even better in the future.

The red and white team triumphed in a friendly tournament in St. Petersburg.

- We won the tournament, which of course was the goal. Every game we play, we go for the win, which I think is quite normal for us. The preparations were difficult, especially in Zlatibor, but as far as I'm concerned, I always say that it's better to be difficult now than during the season.

Zvezda's pupil also referred to his cooperation with Vladan Milojević.

- We are here to respect the boss's decisions. I think we are doing great in training and I know it will get better as time goes on, so far it's going great.

Ilić singled out Dalsia as the player with whom he gets along best on the field.

- So far, I have played mostly with Dalsia, the fact is that he is a new player, but I would single him out if he suits me best.

The red and whites spent their free time during the preparations socializing.

- Mostly the playstation is there, we watch the European Championship matches, when we finish our duties, we hang out in the rooms and that's how we usually spend our free time.

He highlighted the midfielder and the great atmosphere in the team.

- I think the most important thing is the atmosphere, that we all get along well, respect each other, and that, in my opinion, is perhaps the key to good results.

Ilić also received a lot of support from the fans since his return to Crvena zvezda.

- I received a lot of messages, but I think it's quite normal, since Crvena zvezda is the biggest club in the region, it wasn't strange to me and of course it means a lot to me. I know he will be with us from the start of the season. I'm excited before the first game, I can't wait to see them again in the stands.

The goals for the upcoming 2024/25 season are clear.

- When it comes to goals, everything is known, the Champions League, the double crown and let's celebrate at the end - Luka Ilić concluded.
