Omri Glazer acted like an octopus at the Etihad, and managed to enter the annals of the biggest club competition in the world with as many as 13 saves, which is a Champions League record.
For a long time, Fernando Muslera held the record with 12 saves against Real Madrid and was considered the equivalent of a perfect goalkeeping game in the Champions League. Then the home team Galatasaray was defeated by the Spanish giant with a score of 0:1, as the Uruguayan goalkeeper capitulated in the 18th minute after Kroos' goal, but after the game the entire stadium chanted for him. Three years since then, Omri Glazer has managed to stop the shots of a motivated Haaland, Foden, Silva and the team 13 times. The keeper of the Zvezda net acted so imposingly that the game from the first half is probably one of the best goalkeeping in the history of our club, and in those moments practically the entire Etihad applauded him, of course, led by our fans who gave the red and whites fantastic support last night.
However, Glazer is not the only Zvezda goalkeeper who is among the top 10 in terms of defense, because we are the only club that has two goalkeepers on this list. Namely, Milan Borjan had 11 saves in our club's defeat against PSŽ, with the fact that then the score was higher and amounted to 6:1. This list also includes some of the best goalkeepers in the world like Jan Oblak and Manuel Neuer, so there's no doubt that Glazer is in select company.
