Elšnik: I am happy about the first goal, there will be more in the future

- We knew that it would be a hard, closed game on a not-so-best pitch and that we had to be patient until we scored the first goal. We expected that more space would open up after that. Unfortunately, in the first half, the boys did not manage to score that goal, which would have made it easier for us to continue the game. However, they had a great start in the second half and took the lead early on, so it was much easier for me to enter the game with the score 0:1. We continued with offensive pressure and managed to score a couple more goals. I'm happy that I made it to the first team on my debut and helped the team to get three new points - said Elšnik.

The Slovenian national team member also commented on the fact that he is the fourth Red Star player to score in his debut match this summer.

- Great data, you can see that Zvezda has a lot of players who can score goals in every game and that makes us a great team. We have great and varied offensive quality. As long as we score goals and win games, it doesn't matter who scores, but I'm sure there will be more goals from me in the future.

Elšnik pointed out that he can't wait to run at Maracana, but he also talked about the importance of the support of the fans.

- I am really looking forward to the match at Maracana. I was here once with the Slovenian national team, but I watched the game from the stands, so I can't wait to take that first step on our field in front of a large number of home fans. I know that we have a lot of support and that's why we should reward the fans with another victory - concluded Elšnik.
