Dauda: The star is where it belongs

- I follow Zvezda regularly, more precisely, I have never stopped watching matches, it's been like that since I left the club. A lot of people probably don't know that I have a mutual friend with Ben. When he was supposed to come to Zvezda, a friend called me to inquire about the club. I told him a lot of nice things about Red Star, in the end he decided to come to Belgrade and I believe he never regretted it. I follow Star's matches with enjoyment, but I would like to have had the opportunity to wear the red and white jersey at the time of success, I believe it is a great feeling. On the other hand, I would never trade my time in Zvezda for another period. What I went through is really special. Now that I have visited the club after many years, everything is different, in my eyes now everything is at a much higher level than when I was at the club - said Dauda.

He praised the former striker of our club and the results that Zvezda has been achieving in Europe for years.

- Zvezda recorded great results in the Champions League and Europa League, it is back where it belongs. I'm sorry that during the years when I was at the club we didn't have the opportunity to play European competitions, I'm a little jealous of the current Zvezda players because of that. I believe that the club will have even better results in Europe in the coming period, together with coach Vladan Milojević, who has returned to the club and is truly the right choice. He is dedicated in his work and has returned Zvezda to where it belongs.

He recalled Daud and the famous 2023/14 season when our club won one of the most important titles in history.

- We are aware of the importance of the title we won in 2014. During that period, various things really happened, which were not good. I am proud that we managed to make our fans happy by winning the championship title. Every player, member of the coaching staff and fan left the last atom of strength that year, all in order to lift the trophy at the end of the season. Due to the difficult situation the club was in, the title we won is one of the fans' favorite. We had to "bleed" in order to achieve the result, I'm sure that title will be celebrated for many years to come - concluded Abiola Dauda.
