It was as if the national team break lasted too long, so the players of Zvezda, on the wings of a convincing victory against Trialo in the round of 16 of the Serbian Cup finals, wanted the game, but also the Maracana. It started offensively, all with the aim of quickly finding a way to the net guarded by Manojlovic, and the first concrete opportunity was seen in the 11th minute when Kanga played past Olanjinka, and the striker from Nigeria shook the crossbar with his head. It wasn't then, but five minutes later the Javor net started, when Ivanić passed on the left side and sent a sharp ball into the box that hit Skok in the leg and ended up in the net of the goal guarded by Manojlović. After the crossbar, the post also shook when, in the 24th minute, Ivanić crossed for Endiaje, and he hit the goal frame, although Manojlović interfered with his shot.

Manojlović's goal did not rest even in the 28th minute, when the crossbar was again hit by Zvezda players, specifically Ivanić, who then had a good chance in the next attack, but it was not realized due to the good reading of the game by goalkeeper Javor. Zvezda controlled the game, at one point they had 80 percent of the ball possession, but the players of Javor defended themselves disciplined and made it difficult for the offensive players of our club to double their lead before the break. Ivanić led the way with his creation, but a little more calmness was lacking in the end, not only for him, but for everyone in the red and white ranks.

In the second half, Zvezda continued where they left off, and they properly tormented Manojlovic with shots from distance by Lucic and Kang, but Javor managed to equalize practically out of nowhere. In the 53rd minute, Maltene conceded in the same way we scored a goal, when Dolmagić sent a sharp pass into the penalty area, and Điga sent the ball into his own net there. However, Zvezda immediately consolidated their ranks and after a crowd in the penalty box after a corner kick by Kang, Peter Olanjinka was in the right place and in the 56th minute he again led our team to the advantage. However, after a somewhat calmer game on both sides, Bosić surprised Glazer and scored in the 65th minute from the left side.

Bahar was replaced, so Katai, Kraso and Mijatović were on the field, all with the desire to intensify the offensive and get a goal as soon as possible. It followed the foot of the footballers of our team because Jovan Mijatović in the 79th minute made a great jump after Ivanić's cross and beat Manojlović. Hwang also got a chance, and despite the field initiative and the desire to score more goals, Zvezda still managed to score three goals, which was enough to register a victory over RB Leipzig.
