The head of our team's coaching staff - Barak Bahar, expressed expectations before the match of the fifth round of the Serbian Super League, which the Red Star first team will play on the away field against Voždovac on Saturday at 7 p.m.
- We are familiar with the fact that Voždovac is the youngest team in the Superliga. They put together a team of talented and young players, not only those who passed the Crvena Zvezda Youth School, but also footballers from other clubs. Vozdovac is a good team, which is decorated with speed, but also ambitious individuals. It is up to my players to continue with good games and to think about their game - said Barak Bahar.
The red and white will play the match against the city rival on artificial grass.
- The match against Voždovac will be different from the previous ones, considering that we will play on an artificial surface. It is certainly something new for me and the entire coaching staff, the team will have to play differently. However, we know that it is a new field and I believe that we will have good playing conditions.
The Israeli expert said that the red and white team are working hard to play at a high level for the entire 90 minutes of the match.
- We always prepare the team with the goal of opening the game well and being completely ready for the start. However, it is equally important to maintain the same level in the second half, not only because of the result, but also because of the fact that we are expecting matches in the Champions League, where a high intensity of play is required. We will try to maintain a high rhythm throughout the entire 90 minutes, not just during one half. The players prepare hard for it and train to make the goal come true.
Barak Bahar also spoke about the young stopper Andrej Đurić.
- Andrej arrived only a few days ago and did one training session, but unfortunately he got injured. I will have the opportunity to see him in training and assess what his role will be.
The strategist of our team pointed out that he follows Serbian clubs on the European stage, but also that he is slowly getting to know the Super League of Serbia.
- Of course we follow all the matches. It is very important for the sake of Serbian football that the clubs that play in Europe are good and win points. Since the matches in the Superliga started, we are slowly getting to know the domestic championship. The most important thing is that we work hard and train, and then we will see how everything will look - concluded Barak Bahar.
