Crvena zvezda Head Coach Vladan Milojević feels his side didn't deserve to lose by five goals on Tuesday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
"It was too harsh. There were periods of the match where we did well to pass the ball around and reach their box. We tried to attack as much as possible, but it wasn't enough. Playing against a side like Spurs is very difficult, but at least we managed to get some shots in. We'll have to look at the positives."
Despite finding some positives, there were also some worrying things for the gaffer.
"Most of the gols we conceded were far too soft. Those are the kind of goals we don't concede normally. It's something we'll have to work on and improve because you can't go far in this competition with slack defending."
Boss also heaped praise on Tottenham Hotspur.
"They are a terrific team, very powerful. Their players are great athletes as well as skilled footballers. They are very potent going forward with plenty of options. World class players will punish every mistake that you make and it's what happened to us. Credit to Tottenham, but we'll have another match against them and we'll try to get a better result when we meet in Belgrade."
