We're delighted to announce the signing of Argentinian winger Mateo García from UD Las Palmas.
The player was born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1996 and started his career at Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba before moving to Spanish club UD Las Palmas in 2016.
He spent the first part of 2017/18 season on loan at CA Osasuna in Spanish second-tier before switching to AD Alcorcón, also on a loan deal.
The pacey winger spent last season on loan at Greek Superliga outfit Aris, where he really blossomed, scoring 11 goals in 32 games for the Thessaloniki club.
Club's General Director Zvezdan Terzić was happy with the signing of García.
"The negotiations weren't easy, but we've completed the deal. Mateo has signed a four year contract with Crvena zvezda and will be in training later today. We've got the player we wanted, one that will offer plenty of pace and width and who'll excite our supporters. Mateo García is a player who likes to take responsibilities on the pitch and is excellent on the ball."
Mateo García has signed just in time and will be eligible to play for our club in the UEFA Champions League play-off.
