Vladan Milojević made a number of changes to the team that drew with Copenhagen three days earlier, with new signing Njegoš Petrović starting in midfield.
Miloš Vulić made sure the champions had a perfect start as he fired a lovely free kick in just four minutes into the game. It set the tone for the match in which our team attacked and kept the ball well. Mladost looked dangerous on the counter attack and our defenders were forced into key clearances a few times in the opening 30 minutes.
The red and whites pinned the visitors from Lučani down as the break was approaching and it paid dividends just before the half time whistle as Milan Jevtović cut in from the right and beat Rosić with a firm left-footed effort that found the bottom corner. It was a great way to end the half!
Mladost started brightly in the second half and nearly reduced the deficit when Uroš Sinđić's great run down the left, but the shot wasn't good enough.
At the other end, Veljko Simić came close after a nice through ball into the box, but Rosić managed to beat it away.
Portuguese striker Tomané made his debut when he replaced Richmond Boakye and he had a chance shortly when he flashed an effort over the bar.
It remained 2-0 as the red and whites remained composed and saw the match through with ease.
It was another three points ahead of the tough European trip next week.
