Nenad Krstičić made it 1-0 to the visitors early on as Zvezda drew the first blood in this top of the league encounter. The midfielder poked home from close range to the delight of travelling fans.
But Nenad Lalatović’s Radnički side proved that they deserve to be fighting for the title with a fine performance. The players from Niš showed great character to score twice through Haskić and Ranđelović to turn the game on its head midway through the first half.
Crvena zvezda struggled to seize control of the game as half time break approached, with clear-cut chances proving poor on a cold evening at Čair.
The half time introduction of Nemanja Milić brought some more urgency in attack as Vladan Milojević’s team kept possession while probing Radnički’s defence.
It was Milić who provided the assist for the equalizing goal on 65 minutes. He worked hard to nod the ball into the path of El Fardou Ben Nabouhane who sidefooted home with ease to level once more.
The remainder of the game was a nervy affair with neither team happy with a draw. Dejan Joveljić and Nenad Milijaš were brought on in the search of a winner, but if wasn’t to be.
Nemanja Milić has had a good chance to win the points for Crvena zvezda late on, but his effort whistled just over the bar.
The match ended with Radnički and Crvena zvezda sharing the four goals and the points. This results leaves us with a nine-point lead in the Superliga.
