It was a tough battle in Paris as inspired hosts put Zvezda to the sword with a brilliant attacking performance.
Zvezda held on well until 20 minutes, but Brazilian star Neymar took the stage and scored a quick brace to set the tone for the remainder of this match. A well-struck free kick and a smart finish following a sweeping move made the scoreline read 2-0 after 22 minutes.
Edinson Cavani turned and fired home on 37 minutes via a heavy deflection off Miloš Degenek and Ángel Di María made it four before half time to deal Vladan Milojević's team another heavy blow.
Veljko Simić and captain Vujadin Savić failed to re-appear after the break as Milan Pavkov and Srđan Babić came on in an attempt to shake things up for the Serbian champions.
Second half brought a bit more offensive effort from our team as Marin and Rodić had efforts to try and grab a consolation goal, but the Parisians proved to strong.
Kylian Mbappé made it 5-0 from close range after a lovely team move from Paris.
Lorenzo Ebecilio replaced Ben on 73 minutes and made an instant impact as he played a great ball into the path of Marko Marin, who fired into the roof of Areola's net to grab our first goal of this season's Champions League.
But that man Neymar made sure the spotlight was firmly on him as he scored another free kick nine minutes from time to record a hat-trick and make it 6-1 for the hosts.
It finished 6-1 to the Paris side. It was a completely deserved victory for the champions of France.
