Vladan Milojević picked a roteated starting eleven with upcoming Salzburg match in mind. Young defender Aleksa Terzić was given a start at left back, while Slavoljub Srnić and Milan Jevtović took their places on either wing.
First half brought few chances, with Milan Pavkov, leading the line for the red and whites, shooting straight at Nemanja Stevanović 15 minutes in.
Milan Borjan had to be alert midway ten minutes later as he got in time to clear following a poor backpass from Marko Gobeljić.
Boris Kopitović had the best chance for the visitors on 38 minutes. He got a touch after a Marko Docić free kick, but it wasn't clean enough and Zvezda were let off the hook.
Our team showed more urgency after the break and it paid dividents in matter of minutes. Veljko Simić sent a searching ball to Aleksa Terzić. The youngster did well to stay onside and find Slavoljub Srnić in the area for a tap-in. A simple and devastating move.
However, the visitors were determined to get something out of this match and they made it 1-1 on 67 minutes through Slobodan Tedić. Milan Borjan misjudged a ball and was promptly punished.
But Marko Gobeljić had other ideas. He scored the goal of the match just minutes following the equalizer as he intercepted a pass in the middle of the park and thundered forward. He evaded defenders and blasted home to the delight of Zvezda fans! It's not the kind of goal you're normally expect from Marko!
