Crvena zvezda Head Coach Vladan Milojević spoke after yesterday's draw in Latvia, but believes his team has enough to make it to the next round.
"It was only the first half in Riga. We will have another 90 minutes at our ground to prove that we're better. We needed an early goal to set us on the way to a win, but it never came."
"You can tell by looking at the results elsewhere that anything can happen in this early stage of the season. All teams involved are champions of their countries so you cannot underestimate anyone and expect to win easily. Spartaks were defending for the most of the match, but they showed quality as well."
Milojević didn't want to go into details, but he know what could have been better and which aspects of our game didn't work.
"This isn't the kind of performance I dream of. I can't say I'm unhappy, but I'm not too pleased either. But, considering that we've only just completed the training camp and that this was our first competitive game of the season, I've got reason to believe that we can only improve. There were some bits that we will have to work and get right in time for our next match."
In the end, Vladan Milojević demanded a bit more effort.
"Some things didn't go the way we intended, so it was a bit frustrating. I want to see more passion from my players when these teams meet again on Tuesday."
