Midfielder Nenad Krstičić revived his career by moving to Crvena zvezda and he has been integral part of Vladan Milojević’s team all season. Former Sampdoria and Alavés man is full of optimism ahead of tomorrow’s crunch game in Moscow.
“There are big expectations ahead of the return game against CSKA Moskva. We drew 0-0 in Belgrade and could have scored at least once. We didn’t take our chances at home, so we will have to be more ruthless in the away leg. They are an excellent, experienced team, so it won’t be easy – we aren’t kidding ourselves!”
Zvezda recorded two clean sheets in two games since the season restarted. Getting three out of three would be very welcome.
“It’s great that our defence is doing so well. That is a result of hard work the entire team puts in and it’s an indicator of a good side. We are a unit and we like to defend and attack as a unit. We are ready to do it again on Wednesday in Moscow.”
There is a lot of talk about the cold weather in Moscow, where the temperature might drop to -15 °C by the time our Europa League clash kicks off.
“ The cold isn’t a problem. It cannot be an excuse either because we’ve had some cold days in Belgrade too. We shouldn’t think about the weather too much. Besides, the conditions might suit us more than CSKA Moskva. We won’t dwell on it.”
