The home team, managed by former Red Star captain and Head Coach Nenad Lalatović, bossed the game in the first half and were good value for their lead against a slow-looking Zvezda side.

Čukarički's Ghanaian winger Owusu had already squandered two good chances before Mićin opened the scoring four minutes before the break.

Zvezda's best chance of the half fell to Srđan Babić, but the defeneder blasted over from close range after controlling a Guélor Kanga free kick.

Our team needed to wake up and thankfully Vladan Milojević ensured it happened. Second half saw Zvezda move the ball with more urgency and put Čukarički under some real pressure.

Just five minutes after the restart Pešić and Babić had chances to score. Belić saved from Pešić and Babić headed over from a Kanga cross.

Richmond Boakye levelled from the penalty spot after Pešić had been fouled in the home team area just before the hour mark.

The red-and-whites were dominant and looked like the only team that was going to score again. It happened ten minuted later after that man Boakye finished well from a Srđan Babić knock-down to make it 20 goals for the season before the end of November!

Our team kept the ball well for the remaining 20 minutes or so, never looked like surrendering the lead.

It was a classic game of two halves at Čukarički and it was Red Star who was victorious.
