Crvena zvezda look to make significant changes to the first team ahead of the second half of the season.
Four players were presented to the media at Rajko Mitić Stadium.
Director of football Blažo Raosavljević addressed the reporters.
“Today we unveil four new players. Milan Pavkov arrives from Radnički Niš, Nemanja Milić from Spartak, Milan Senić from Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Srđan Vujaklija from Borac. These are players we have been watching for some time and we believe that they will improve the team.”
Srđan Vujaklija, 28-year-old striker arrives on a free transfer after his Borac deal expired. Crvena zvezda agreed his transfer a few months ago as the player was free to speak to clubs. The big forward is an established goalscorer who will look to bully defenders with his physical presence. He signed a two-year contract with the club.
Novi Sad-born Milan Pavkov, aged 22, signed a deal until June 2019 with an option of an additional season. The old-fashioned goalscorer should challenge for a place in the starting XI that was predominantly held by Predrag Sikimić since the start of the season.
19-year-old Milan Senić, a Hungarian-born Serbian winger arrives to Crvena zvezda after having spent seven years at German club Bayer 04 Leverkusen's academy. He stated that joining the Belgrade red-and-whites was his personal wish since he started playing football. He is a Serbia U-19 international and is regarded as a highly promising player who mostly play on the left wing. He signs a four-and-a-half year contract.
Nemanja Milić is a 26-year-old striker who was on the verge of joining Zvezda from OFK Beograd in the past, but was instead transferred to Spartak Subotica. He now joins until June 2020. He is a striker, but can also play as a winger in different formations.
After the departure of Hugo Vieira Zvezda have moved to sign four attacking players which may suggest that Head Coach is looking to play with two strikers upfront. Still, it's early days and the squad is yet to complete the winter training camp in Slovenia and Cyprus.
The club welcomes the new boys!
