Crvena zvezda has received important reinforcement ahead of the start of the new season. Argentine Pablo Mouche has been unveiled at Rajko Mitić Stadium.
Pablo arrives on a season-long loan from Brazilian giants Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras with an option to buy if all parties are happy.
The pacy forward was born on 11 October 1987 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started his career at Estudiantes de Buenos Aires, but was quickly spotted and signed by the famous Boca Juniors at the age of 16. After six years he was transferred to Turkish club Kayserispor where he did well, scoring 13 goals in 60 matches. This alerted the Brazilian club SE Palmeiras who paid around US$4M to sign Mouche in the summer of 2014. He most recently spent six months back in his native Argentina with Club Atlético Lanús, where he won the 2016 Argentine Primera División. In total, he's won the Argentine Primera División three times and the Brazilian Cup (Copa do Brasil) once.
The player himself said he's very pleased with this transfer.
"I'm so happy to have arrived to such a big club as Crvena zvezda. I'm thankful to this club for having confidence in me. I know everyone is really ambitious here and will do my best to help the team on and off the pitch. I play upfont, on either flank. Zvezda have a glorious past and I know I can develop further here. This is an important step in my career."
"I'm grateful for the welcome messages I've been receiving messages from Zvezda fans in the past days. The Delije remind me a lot of Boca Juniors faithful - they are passionate about following their club and it's certainly one of the things that appealed to me in my decision to sign for Zvezda."
Pablo says he is ready for the European competition.
"I have experience playing in Europe with Kayserispor, but playing at the biggest Serbian club will be huge. We have the opportunity to play in the Champions League or in the Europa League and it's very important for us."
"I've missed the first part of the training camp, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I feel good as I've been training all the time. I can't wait to get started here. The physical condition isn't everything - you also have to show great desire and work-rate, so I believe I'll be ready for all the challenges."
Our new forward is happy to be reunited with an old friend Luis Ibáñez.
"I'm lucky to have played with Lucho and I'm lucky to know him as a person. He told me a lot about Crvena zvezda, about this being a big, big club. It's going to be great playing with him again!"
