Stefan Milošević, the first Crvena zvezda signing this summer, has been unveiled on 7 June at Rajko Mitić Stadium.
The player signed from FK Spartak Subotica was officially introduced to the media by Crvena zvezda Director of Football, Blažo Raosavljević.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome another champion to Zvezda. Stefan won the U-20 World Cup with Serbia and he has been progressing to earn a return to Crvena zvezda. He spend four years here without making the first team, but is now returning an established left-back. He is very quick, hard-working, has an excellent left leg, takes free-kicks very well. We believe that he has what it takes to be a part of Zvezda’s league-winning team”, said Raosavljević.
Stefan Milošević, who will wear the number 21 shirt, said that he is hoping to retain the title with Crvena zvezda.
“I’ve come to a big club. Zvezda was immense last season and I hope that I will fit in well and that I will help the team to more trophies. I’m a lot different now compared to how I was as a youth player and this is why I’m happy to return and to show what I can do”, said the former Spartak defender.
Mitrović believes that strong competition for first-team spot will make him a better player.
“It’s a good thing because it will make me work harder. I love to push myself and improve all the time, so having such a good player as Luis Ibanez as competition is great”, said Milošević.
The signing of Stefan Milošević will definitely not be the last in this transfer window, but there will also be some departures.
“When we have more information we will let you know. We are talking to quite a few players, but no decision has been made yet. Damir Kahriman is set to sign a new contract, while we’re still evaluating the situation regarding Predrag Sikimić, Dušan Anđelković and a few more players whose contracts are running out. All will be known soon”, Raosavljević explained.
