We are facing our old rivals Partizan on Wednesday in the Kup Srbije semi final and it's going to be even more special for El Fardou Ben Nabouhane, who turns 31 on the day. His birthday wish is obvious.
“Getting that win tomorrow would be the best birthday present ever! You don't need any extra motivation for such a game, but I will have that bit more. The whole team wants to win the Double because the club has gone on 13 years without it. A win tomorrow would be a big step towards achieving it.“
Last weekend's win over Radnik was useful in boosting match fitness and confidence of quite a few members of the first team, and that can be important for the team to perform well in the big game on Wednesday.
“We have been working well and we are focused. It's up to me and the other experienced players to help the younger lads focus on the match and play as well as they can. We have the Double on our radar after winning the title with authority. It's what the fans want and it's what we want. It's also Dejan Stanković's attitude in football: go out and win everything.“
The Comorian international is pleased to have the fans back at matches.
“It’s means so much to us to have the fans supporting us during games. You play better what there is an entire stand cheering you on. Football just feels better with the fans. I hope they come in their numbers when we meet Partizan in the battle for the Final.”
